About Me
I was born and raised in Rhode Island. I have been the Young Adult Librarian at the Greenville Public Library since 2001. Before that I was a Children's Reference Assistant. As part of my job I get to help plan and produce programs for young adults ranging in age from 11 - 17 years of age. I am also the Chair of the Rhode Island Teen Book Award Committee, which selects about 20 nominee books each year for teens to read and use to select a winner. I also sit a member of the Board of Trustees for the Jesse M. Smith Memorial Library in Burrillville. I teach Adolescent Literature at Rhode Island College as an adjunct instructor. I teach Public Library Services for Children and Young Adults at the University of Rhode Island's Graduate School of Library and Information Studies, which is where I received my Masters of Library and Information Science in May 2000.
